Summer Showcase; Colour stories workshop round up

Makers House was founded on the principal of showcasing the process behind the product, so we were delighted to host a diverse range of workshops for our recent exhibition in the Milliken showroom.

From metal dyeing to block printing we ensured that everyone who visited us had a chance to get their hands dirty and engage further with the products and processes on show.

Thursday 25th July; an unprecedented 38 degrees in London meant that the Milliken air conditioning offered some much needed respite for our visitors along with a chance to have a go at anodising aluminium with Jenny Parker.

Friday 26th July; A free block printing workshop run by Georgia Bosson. This was our chance to throw open the doors of the Milliken showroom and welcome the local community into the space. We had over thirty people join our workshop over the course of the day and saw some amazing colourful work created!

Saturday 27th July; We finished our three days with another riot of colour and a jesmonite jewellery workshop by Mala Siamptani. Participants were able to mix their own diverse range of colours to make a beautiful array of unique jewellery.

We would like to thank everyone who came to one of our workshops, we hope you enjoyed making with us!
