Makers House Make & Collaborate was curated to be part of the 2018 edition of South East Makers Club for the London Design Festival. The exhibition was designed to celebrate collaborations between designers as well as the collaborative effort that it takes to put together a Makers House exhibition!

The show featured work by; Aimee Betts, Cecily Vessey, Georgia Bosson, Melisa Dora, Paperwilds, Sarah Colson, Stitch School and Stoff Studios

Festive Makers House at Blue Shop Cottage was our first foray into a real shop set up with working lights! The exhibition featured two fantastic workshops; a Paperwilds festive marbling workshop where you could make your own decorations, wrapping paper and gift tags and Georgia Bosson ran a natural dyeing worksop, where attendees learnt how to make beautiful Japanese furoshiki wrapping cloths.

festive makers house x the creative edit @ milliken

Festive Makers House at Milliken was curated with Charlene Lam, The Creative Edit. A Christmas Pop-Up Shop featuring an array of established Makers House collaborators, meeting a selection of designers selected by The Creative Edit: a true collaboration.

The Clerkenwell location generously hosted by Milliken recognised the roots of many of the designers, having worked with or at the now moved Craft Central, or exhibited with Creative Clerkenwell, Charlene’s esteemed curated pop-up shops that gave many of us our first taste of retail. What a treat to meet Clerkenwell locals lamenting the loss of the small studios and independent designers and makers they had for so long enjoyed supporting.

The shop featured work by: Cecily Vessey, Georgia Bosson, Paperwilds and Anna Wiscombe, Pipet Design, Maiko Dawson and Quinton Chadwick.

summer showcase: colour stories

25th - 27th July, hosted by milliken

A special Summer Showcase, Colour Stories, bringing making back into the heart of Clerkenwell.

Featuring a community of designers connected to Clerkenwell, creating work encompassing textiles, print-making, ceramics, lighting and jewellery. Each designer has their own unique approach to using colour in their chosen materials: in a world full of ‘stuff’, this 3-day show was about exploring the diverse processes behind each product through talks, workshops and demos.
